Create, update, or remove applicants for a Group Application

One person usually starts the application and then invites the other applicants to join. Each applicant completes their own details, identification, employment, and supporting documents, and the real estate agent receives the application as a single household/group application. For example, if you and your partner are renting together, you would generally submit a group application rather than two separate individual applications

To add, update, or remove applicants:

Log in to your 2Apply account and locate the application on your home page.
Click the three-dot menu next to the application and select Update Application.
Navigate to the Applicants tab.
From this tab, only the main applicant can:
- Add a new applicant by entering their details and sending them an invitation link.
- Update an existing applicant's details, such as their email address or mobile number.
- Remove an applicant from the application if they no longer need to be included.
- Resend an invitation link to an applicant if required.
Any new applicants added to the application must complete their section using the invitation link before the application is submitted. Once all applicants have completed their sections, the application will be combined and sent to the agency for review.

Question 2

Unable to answer security question

When you're unable to answer your security question, there are two ways to regain access to your account: reset your account and create a new security question, or contact Support for assistance with updating your security settings

Option 1: Recover your account by deleting sensitive data and starting over

This clears protected data so you can set new credentials and rebuild your profile details as needed

Steps:

From the Verify Identity screen of the login flow, select I don't know the answer.
Select Delete Account Data
Create a new password
Select Next
Setup a new Security Question
This will remove all sensitive data from your account and you will be required to setup your account from scratch

Option 2: Start a chat and submit a request to update the security question with our support team

You will be asked to provide some identifiable information for our support team who will further assist

Background checks

When applying for a property, you can request a background check to help your application stand out. In 2Apply, you have the option to request either a premium or basic background check. These reports help verify a tenant’s rental and financial history before approving a rental application.

Premium background check

A premium background check includes a PDF version of the report, which will be emailed to you, visible within your profile and automatically attached to your future applications. The information you provide will be shared with Equifax to generate an NTD (National Tenancy Database) check.

Basic background check

A GreenID check is a simple digital verification of your identity. This option does not include a PDF or email version of the report, however a banner will be added to your account and submitted with all future applications.

How to request a background check

Login to your 2Apply account via 2Apply.com.au
Either in your profile or when you are completing an application, navigate to the section called Background Checks
Select either a Premium Check or a Basic Check
Provide the information exactly as it appears on your ID documents (any details entered in the backg

Question 4

"Rent amount must be greater than $0" notification

Accepted Answer

Applicants may see a notification stating the "Rent amount must be greater than $0" when trying to submit or edit a 2Apply application. This is caused by an incorrect rent value on the property listing.

To rectify:

Reach out to the Property Manager/Listing Agent associated with the property.
Advise them you are unable to submit an application due to the rent figure being displayed as zero.

Once the agency has updated the rent figure you will be able to submit your application.

Create a 2Apply account and application profile

2Apply enables prospective tenants to create a profile, provide personal and rental history information, upload supporting documents, add references, and submit rental applications online through participating real estate agencies.

How to create a 2Apply account:

Navigate to 2apply.com.au and select login.
Create an account by clicking login then 'Create new account'.
Enter your full name, email address, password and security question.

Once you've entered your details you will be logged in to your 2Apply account and you can create your profile

How to create your 2Apply profile:

Once logged into your 2Apply account, select Profile.
Select whether you wish to use Find Me. More information can be found in the following guide - What is a FindMe?
Each section has an Add option to include your living and financial history along with references
Save your profile

Your rental profile will automatically populate in all your future applications

Question 6

Withdraw your 2Apply application

If you no longer wish to proceed with an application you have already submitted, you can withdraw it directly from your 2Apply account, or contact the agency directly to request the withdrawal on your behalf.

Option 1: Withdraw through your 2Apply account

Login to your account via 2apply.com.au.
From the Home tab, find the application you wish to withdraw.
Click the three action dots next to the application.
Select Withdraw.

Option 2: Contact the agency directly

Contact the agency the property is advertised through and request the withdraw.
This may be required if the application is already being processed.
